Seasons of Love

by Prince Enigma   Jul 14, 2004

The commencement of a new season,
Leaves falling for a reason.
Brown, tan, green, and serene,
Candy, costumes, the start of Halloween.

A Nocturnal night,
Children trick-or-treating in fright.
A Melodious nightingale,
"The haunted house", fact or tale?

Snowflakes descending gently,
In variety of shapes and sizes differently.
A Hazy winter chill,
A ferocious battle uphill!

A sentimental snowball fight,
Projectiles, shivery, frigid and white.
A childhood pastime,
Laughter and joy at its prime.

Spring flowers blooming,
Life at a halt, life resuming.
Kids running about,
Sunshine day in and day out.

The chasing of a monarch butterfly,
Enjoyment that we cannot deny.
Flourishing, prosperous playgrounds,
Slides, see-saws, ups and downs.

An exotic sun streak,
Aesthetic weather all week.
A walk on the beach,
Orange, apple and a peach.

Picnic in the park,
A vacation to embark.
The reminiscent of,
Seasons of love.
