I will remember you by colours
Because all else causes me pain
So many times you told me to move on
But where you left me last, I remain

And our memories I'll never give up
Although yours will now be replaced
That's why you so easily move on

But now colours are all I can see
Each one that I pick shines its light
To replace all my fond memories

Where red is the colour of love

Then the colour orange is you

So bright, happy and joyful
Describes your personality

Yellow is the colour of warmth
Where around you I'd always would feel
And not even the darkness of night

Next green, a colour so natural
That's how I always felt in your arms
So often that you would hold me
Made me feel so peaceful and calm

Now blue becoming so soothing
Reminds me of the vast open sky
When once all our wishes existed
And both of us felt we could fly

Indigo the colour of devotion
Beams fairness and impartiality
And I swore that this was our hue
That made our love always agree

Last violet becomes imagination
Where spiritually you're in my thoughts
This colour represents our future
Wherever our paths might transport

Now all I hold are your colours
But I will dare to let them all free
To paint the sky an alluring rainbow
