the driver behind the art of poetry

by Patrick Watson   Oct 25, 2022

tears, birthing a poem, so common
the melodramatic is always the inspiration behind the scene
grief multiplies emotion
the mongrels, dirtying the path are many

is communicating via testosterone the way to go?
we call it love, sole mates expressing devotion
a child is born, the gift of a life
are we the creationist we think we are?
or just slaves to propagate

rage insults me! but it’s always just below the surface
we write the script and we not exempt from life’s find grind
grief multiples the hate that is ingrained
the dogs of war know this only too well

I liked the heading and its true that a poem comes from different emotions, situations of life.
