for i already know the role i need to play
i gladly accept our friendship the way it is
there's just something else that's in the way
i see you pour your heart out
only to get it hurt in the end
you long for someone to love you
and i can only wish we were more than friends
i watch you over and over again
never able to tell you what's in my heart
for you only see me as a friend
and i feel blessed to have that part
but i cant deny the fact that i
have been secretly loving you from afar
and i feel that if i dont tell you now
it will always linger in my heart
