The arrogance of me seeing a world at peace
The great melting pot of the ‘Dived States of America’
Disappoints: - my dream dies right there
Reality burns holes in my picture-perfect place

Endless war and hate
The human family has to digest its fate
It’s never going to end
Sad!

Slip, slop, flop, and pop!
That’s not really me, no madam
Hope! There must always be
I am not ready to be the ‘ashes’ through the great

But rather the passion to drive and strive for peace
Ironic is it not, we use the adjective “fight”
To find that path,
That will lead to what we all aspire to, love piece and family
