Here I go again

by Patrick Watson   Nov 16, 2022

Here in this deep silent place
I meet myself again!
There is a chill running down my spine
Goose bumps on my skin

Panic drives a friendly fear
Time is finite
The weather table is a good metaphor for my life
Winter is at hand

Yet burning bright fires with in, inspire me
Urgency tugs at the grey hairs on my chin
I am no sinking ship plummeting into the ocean of this life
No sir; rather a space ship chasing new horizons

The universe and I are truly one
I am at peace in my deep silent place
A contradiction?
I think not, just bring it on
