Rebirth

by Rayven   Jan 19, 2023

Black feathers remain grounded
over petals, horizons are camouflaged
by wings of grandeur.

Picking flowers anonymously becomes
guarded by windchill down a protected
cloak.

Windy weather swirls around aimlessly
frozen tundra swept away from any
civilization.

Lost footprints dance around circles
numbing each moment passed within
timeframes.

Eyes wander through pines silently
watching, waiting for echoes of
dormant rebirth.

An unkindness fills the skyline
black wings spread.

Why is there so much unkindness in this world? If it died from extinction, would rebirth follow?
