Long after dark every night I lay alone
From the silence, I hear a symphony
A musical introduction
For the greatest production
That has ever been known to be!
As my eyes drift shut, the curtain is drawn
Revealing a stage full of vivid hues
I'm entranced by each scene
Of a divine love serene;
Of this man finding his Angel, his Muse!
The lights dim down for part two of the show
The orchestra playing dark and deep
Until we, once-betrothed lovers,
Are kneeling away from each other
And the lights lower once more as we weep
I awake and prepare, wiping tears from my eyes
For I know it's now time for act three
Then I rise to the feet
That my heart sinks to meet
