I woke up this morning
to the sun in my eyes.
Ruffled my feathers,
and flew out into the sky.
Dove towards the ground
as I spotted a worm.
A worm bright and round,
perfect for my bird.
I head back home,
filled with glee and pride.
I softly land
and set the worm beside.
I looked at my bird,
but they weren’t impressed.
I tried my hardest,
but they took the worm, and left the nest.
