Insignificance

by Ink   Apr 4, 2023

I felt the cold of insignificance,
where eyes used to meet
on twilight lit streets
and the world fell away to the stars,
they no longer hold an intimate gaze,
but distant in sadness
and melancholy haze,
regret, as she moves from my touch,
dismay, where lips one brushed,
misunderstood, depressed and it hurts,
feeling cursed and alone in the world.

My heart feels torn, as my love for her pours,
into the stillness of loneliness.

And will love like Poes,
Nevermore.

One who was part of your life moves away not even want to be touched let alone want nothing more. The hurt lingers deep...
