This was such a visceral and haunting piece, and something I relate to in terms of fighting against one's self. We desperately want peace, for our minds to grant us reprieve. Wanting to live in harmony is such a strong desire, to be rid of the self-hatred and the mental anguish that often feels insurmountable. I think it takes a lot of time and grace with ourselves to be able to find ways we can exist with all those parts of us, with some gentleness and self-compassion too. Thanks for sharing. |

Thanks, I've not written for a long time, now I'm going through notepads, endless writing, just getting things down, trying to process them and devise a plan to survive and thrive.
