It was in the black and white of his magic
that all my childhood turned into colours,
sadness to laughters and joy,
the humiliation of poor men’s disability,
to the triumph of
decency and courage.
It was through his magic of laughter
I learned how to cry in shear innocence,
how incurable is unfair
and
how far
a small man can walk with his enormous shoes
wearing in his heart,
his faith in justice
and art.
