untitled because why not?

by Mark Hopwood   Jul 1, 2023

I've been walking tonight,
Through blackened parks with my blackened mind,
Wondering through them both,
Not knowing what I'd find.
Now I'm back in and I still don't know,
Why I came back, or why I would go.

So I sit here, as empty as I was before I set of,
Cold, lonely, Trying to bounce of the light like the idiot moth,
And the silence it eats me,
As does the noise in my mind,
Arms wrapped around myself,
Like a coil, trying to unwind.

And there is a light, bright, shining from your window,
Laughter, fun, great times are had,
While here I remain in the emptiness,
Trapped in my mind, I think I am actually mad.
