I watch you
pet the butterflies
in my stomach, sunken eyes
fixated at my worry-brimmed eyes,
smile sweeter
than red grapes.

I have touched hands before
but they never made
those shattering noises in my heart.

    I think that even looking at it feels lovely, especially after reading already because it made me realize how you chose the best words to not make it long yet still transmitting a complete message and scene.
