It is my favourite picture
The one I took of you
When we were at the beach
With sky and water blue

The sand which was so white
Reflections of the sun
And we were both relaxing
In nature having fun

When your skin would glisten
From swimming in the sea
And you were sitting on the sand
Relaxed and so carefree

Building a sand castle
By using just your hands
As you were in your element
And built a structure grand

When I walked up towards you
After cooling from a swim
You just seemed so absorbed
With sand on every limb

While you're in your moment
Not noticing I was there
When reaching for my camera
As you became aware

I only took one photo
Just as your face would smirk
With your hands upon your castle
So proud of your hard work

This was many years ago
And your castle is long gone
But memories that you built that day
Forever will go on...
