Pigskinfinitum

by Cantchangeme   Oct 3, 2023

Leveraging the greater good against the warmth of hate
Belies a train of thought better to divide and separate
The eyes of fathers watching their ideas crash and burn
Rather dissect the worm at birth then let it take its turn

Making sure the lords and ladies tumble from their horse
Their guts will feed the pigs a meagre second course
Thankful for the pitchfork that moved the privileged to snout
Taken in, in the best of faith and then defecated out

Nauseating ketchup sticking to the tongue that moves
I follow its every lolling word for all the nihil it proves
I stand content in this nakedness before the gates of dung
Happy to meet the thief who stole the words you never sung

The title is interesting. Does it suppose to say 'Pig Skin Infinitum' or something like that?

I really enjoyed reading this piece from start to finish, lines are clever and good, also the rhymes. Added to favorites.
