Love that little bit more

by David   Jan 2, 2024

Adapt to life don’t think yourself infallible
Understanding is continual, oh so compatible
Yin to your yang, it’s forever changing
If you need help I’ll happily try explaining

If you are the sun, then I’ll be the light
If you are the stars, I’m the moon and the night
If you are the jelly I’ll be the peanut butter
If you are the salt then I’ll be the pepper

One of life’s lessons has taught love is special
A different meaning for everyone and that is essential
You can’t feel how I feel cause that’s sacred to me
Words will never do justice of these feelings fully

There are good days and bad please reflect my friend
Be grateful for the beginning, middle and end
So without trying times that hurt to your core
You wouldn’t appreciate the good, and love that little bit more..

    Hi David,

Well said, without the dark, we cannot fully appreciate the light. You were always a bright star I returned to when I was on P and Q, even though you might have felt different at the time (as most teenagers do). You were and are a good person and dried up well, I think, ha ha.
Nice write, thank you for sharing.

    Kind regards,

    Ingrid
