burn after reading

by koifishblues   Feb 13, 2024

the heat building, my core weeping.. the flames of need rising up to scorch my fingertips. do you feel the heat pouring from my chest, reaching out to you like a caress? do you feel the kiss of the flames as they play on your skin, as i touch you in my wildest dreams?

your thighs are a deep sigh of relief and your hips reverberate through me. like an orchestra in a canyon, honey stick marble, quivering cliches. your body is a loving home, a triumphant slow dance in the warm ocean. in your eyelashes a desperate prayer - you will never see your eyes like i do: like a gift, a crystal stream. like you don't even know how perfect your hands are, how your neck makes my teeth sink. you left me dripping from the heavens, and i can't believe you're there.

i desire to trace secrets on your skin, my fingertips mapping stories only we share. i crave the echo of your laughter lingering, like a melody woven into every heartbeat. wrapped like loose ends around my fingers, pushed so deep. aching like rainless ponds beneath booming skies. plunged so far into you i cannot ascend again or i will drown in desire - breath by breath this little death smells so sweet.

there's that look in your eye again and i am born on the in breath, with the out i die. when you stroke my hair, with your lips to my sticky hand, i slip sweetly away. to where this inanimate body is set aflame and every last heady gasp only brightens the blaze.
