Night cascades over the horizon,
Elegantly reclaiming its throne
As onyx colors the sky and
Mystery twinkles above.
A goddess twirls around me
With a grace so extravagant,
And an aura so breathtaking,
That I begin to understand the meaning of passion
As she dances in the dark.
She delicately takes my hand,
As her laughter echoes around her and,
As if a symphony, leaving me entranced
While praying to the Gods for it to never end.
I can't help myself as I begin to fall for her soul,
My heart calling her name, beckoning,
As her eyes lock with mine while a defiant glint takes control;
The sparks in the air so entirely welcoming
As she, we, dance in the dark.
There is a chaos within her
That soothes the beast within me,
In a way that can only infer
Our love was simply meant to be.
