Lost in Reflection

by Meriem Otman   Jun 21, 2024

I lose sleep, wondering what might have been,
What will be, and what should have been?
What if I were someone else deep within?
And what is my sin?
What if I had never built these bridges
That I've buried myself in for ages?
Thought I'd be fine, but now I'm fighting a losing fight,
Not against odds, but against my own might.
Wandering around, seeking some light,
But I'm so damn blind; life is out of my sight.
