Black Sheep

Black sheep
Different, divergent, and disparate, no sense of normalcy
A feeling of rejection is how you left me

Beaten, bruised, and broken, they all feel the same
Oh how you weaponized the belt only for me to be tamed

You scarred this body leaving it dismantled and torn
Acceptance cried out but hurt was born

I intensely fought hard for any ounce of normalcy
But it wasn’t quite enough
Just when I thought I’ve won you over
You had already given up

Slashes, scars, and sores burnt within this skin
With every voided hole I tried to fill
You just kept deepening

Every piece of love I tried at giving unto you
In return you only gave more pain
The suffering we both felt within
The hurt wasn’t quite the same

You told me to put a gun to my head
So I counted one, two, three
Confess to the BLACK SHEEP you created
Until then I’ll never be free

Through the years this heart hurt still keeps
When all I sought after was to be normal, you created the BLACK SHEEP

When all you see is your own pain
You lost sight of who I am
Following behind a black sheep
Only creates a black lamb
