I Give In

by Maher   Aug 17, 2024

Leave this plane with no resistance.
Ease through space, free of all that was.
As the moon abides by laws that were written,
so resides the soul of my love
as an apparition.

Bound by life, that of my own,
then swept away along with
the words on my tongue.

Heaven sees you now as I surrender.
So beautiful to my eyes
And I give in.
Oh, I give in.

Left the game.
Solid state dissipating.
On the road again.
This time it was worth all the waiting.

Recalling falling upside down,
all the while the world was fading.
Round and around there was no bound
as it all kept on changing.

Bound by life, that of my own,
I'd swear the sky was falling.
And Death just tends to carry on
with his duties calling.

Oh how heaven sees you now.
I surrender.
So beautiful to my eyes
as I give in.
Oh, how I’ve given in.

Full disclosure, I wrote this in 2008 and only just found it tonight (17/08/24) in an old backup file.
