Her Heart is Crying

Her Heart is Crying

Her heart sat quietly crying,
over distorted love that tainted her.
Abused her plans for a future,
and kept on with a glowing allure.

She'd been taunted by love,
since the beginning of the quest.
And failed every time miserably.
To a point, where fragility was
giving her best.

Every silent whisper of love,
made a promise that they couldn't keep.
And her heart is crying at night,
when it's time to be quiet and go to sleep.

She longs for connection and to feel safe.
To have someone who'd never let go.
And a man she could snuggle at her place,
this was her desire, if God could only know.

Sweet woman, with scars from love,
they heal, but the mark always remains.
And she's attempted love a few times.
That she could recite all of their names.

Her heart is crying, desiring something.
Something unprovided, not given.
And it really is like a kiss of death.
Staying unloved like a whole lot of women.

Attempting she does to give her all,
and just as she does, love just fails.
And her heart is left without blood, without beat.
Her heart is crying.
It wails.

Committing, she does and loyal she is,
until it all crumbles at her feet.
And she still stays throughout all the greys.
Committing to making the chaos of love,
somehow neat.

Trying, she does, and tries some more.
Until she is frustrated and discouraged.
But it's beautiful that she tries to love at all,
and it matters, because it takes courage.

Attempting, she does to give her all.
Until she is frustrated and discouraged.
But it's beautiful that she tries to love at all.
And it matters, because it takes courage.

Attempting, she does to give her all.
And just as she does, love just fails.
And her heart is left without blood, without beat.
Her heart is crying.
It wails.
