God's gift for a couple (Ballade)

by Ş∂ņďħy∂   Jul 17, 2004

// Dedicated to all those parents who had difficulties in having a child or waited long years to have a child//

Strange clouds made the stars in our life obscure
For some ugly reason, we were kept banned
For our wounded hearts no one could find cures
When prayers had turned out to be demands
One day God agreed to change his plans
He gifted my womb with you as surprise
Soon to be a parent, our worries did end
You melt those painful memories like ice

God sent a gift, for our prayers with tears
You! The symbol of our Love of long span
We will help your dreams cross all the shores
And love you to the depths with no demand
You came to this world and completed our clan
You brought colors to life and made it nice
How much you changed our days, please understand
You melt those painful memories like ice

Holding you, my spouse’s eyes fills with pleasure
Looking at that my world seems like fairyland
When I tickle those tiny winy legs of yours
You pass cute smiles and winks, which looks so grand
I forget the test of time we did stand
Now, pleasure exceeds the limit of skies
I don’t see anymore a sad faced husband
You melt those painful memories like ice

When you touch with your little caress hand
And make cute giggles, looking in my eyes
My heart keeps hearing you call me mom and
You melt those painful memories like ice

Wow! great job with what looks like a really tough poetic form to master!

As for the content... it brought tears to my eyes, and an ache to my heart... I so wish my story could end as happy...
