Half-Truths

by Meriem Otman   Sep 4, 2024

If I went for someone else, how would you frame it?
Cheater, unfaithful, or just another name for it?
For the streets, maybe, even if I took too long,
You'd call me shady, like I did you wrong.

Tell me, would you make up stories and tell your friends all about 'em,
Spreading lies like it's easy, just to keep me doubting?

Would you say I'm heartless, like I never cared?
Like I wasn't there for you when nobody else was there?
Would you twist the truth, make it all about you?
Turn our love into a drama that's only half true?
