I hope, at the very least, I was a brief distraction for you during this tough time. I was rather scared that meeting you would undo a lot of the moving on and the detaching we've been doing. But let's be honest - kinda hard to detach from something your soul is tied to.

Laughing with you...it felt surreal. Your smell was far too familiar. Your gaze. Your voice. I felt at home.

How much your hair has grown in just over a month. The cute little curls that fell on your forehead. The ring I used to wear on my necklace. Standing in the dark, looking up at the moon like we used to. How I just wanted to reach over and hold you. Feeling the same way everytime.

How we almost went there again.

I don't know how to let go. Thinking about what you did to me doesn't really do the trick anymore.
