Such a bloody path, the path to happiness

by Cantchangeme   Sep 24, 2024

They pushed spikes into my ears
So the last words I heard were theirs
They blinded me with knives
So I could only see their cares

They broke both my kneecaps
So I couldn’t stand to leave
They burned up both my lungs
And gave me a mask to breathe

They cut my sex away
To make sure I couldn’t birth
They took away my freedom
And told me what I was worth

They made me swill with acid
So heresy I could never say
They prepare the offal to feed me
And you let them everyday

They’ve broken all my fingers
So banned words I cannot type
And every day I wonder
If being happy lives up to the hype
