Hunger

by writer   Oct 19, 2024

Shades of pink and clouds mark the sky.
Come here and take my breath away.
You said, you'd make me fly,
but you don't know about all the scenes
I've replayed.

Do you remember,
your hand on my thigh,
your breath on my neck,
my lips on your mind,
your hands on my back
and how we were not gentle
in everything that unfurled that night?

You touched my skin,
and I felt something I never did.
You held me close
(I'd never heard myself breathe that deep before),
your hunger permeated between us
(I'd only ever read of such hunger in books),
the ecstasy we tasted that night
was sweeter than anything I've ever known.

Hold me close, like you'd never let go,
kiss my lips, like you want to claim them to be yours forever more,
take me to these secret moments,
away from the world,
like they are the elixir to our souls.
I want to stay in your arms
and breathe in your scent.
Do I make you feel whole?
