The Love Lottery

Lottery of Love

I have never been a gambler.
I don't like to lose.
I've never been a drinker, I don't like the booze.
But sometimes life circumstances puts us in a position where taking a chance is necessary.
My life dealt me just such a hand, a chance was required. So, a chance it was to be.
I got on line one day and joined a group called widows and widowers.
I was rolling the dice about what to do. When this beautiful woman text me and said, "Hi."
Our conversation flowed easy like water from a fountain.
Our common interests overlapped like an x-ray of the same arm.
Wow, is this real?
Is this a dream?
That day I fell in love, but wouldn't know it for 6 weeks.
I took a chance on the "lottery of Love" and I won.
The odds were probably better to win some money,
but I dont like to lose.
I'm collecting my prize and in a few weeks we'll be married.
I don't think this was a gamble left to fate
I think God had his hand on this.
