Falling Autumn Leaves

by DavidPCarroll   Oct 29, 2024

In autumn the leaves
Turn brown and gold
And they fall to the ground

They rustle softly underneath my feet
Memories so precious days so warm
As they drift downwards with
A whispered sigh falling from the tress
A final dance before their last goodbye
And though they fade and wither in the cold
Damp ground and nobody will notice them
And their beauty lingers still a tale retold.
