Happy without me

by Meriem Otman   Nov 2, 2024

I saw you passing by,
A smile lighting up your eyes,
It shattered me deep inside,
As tears like cold rain started to slide.

I can't lie, seeing you happy,
leaves a void where our memories used to be.
It's hard to say, but I don't want you to be...
Happy without me.

You can call me vicious, call me green with envy,
But I can't watch you move on without me
While your past still haunts me

I can't lie, seeing you smile cuts me deep,
Memories you've buried, I still keep.
It's hard to say, but I don't want you to be...
Happy without me.
