A Prayer for My Sister

by Mrs. Adams   Nov 23, 2024

Sis, I know you're tired, bone-deep,
The endless cycle, secrets keep.
More pain, more pills, a bitter taste,
No solace found, no healing graced
A prayer for you sis, weary and worn,
Through hospital doors, a battle is born.
Surgery's sharp edge, a constant refrain,
One step ahead, then two steps in pain.
I see the struggle in your eyes,
The pain that whispers, "I can't rise"
Though shadows may lengthen, and struggles abound,
Your bravery shines, a strength profound.

Your heart, a beacon, unwavering and bright,
A testament to resilience, a warrior's fight.
So let this prayer carry strength on its wings,
For my dearest sister, the hope that it brings.
May healing find you, in gentle embrace,
And comfort surround you, in this difficult space.
Your spirit unbroken, your courage so bold,
May your story be written, in strength to unfold.
