between holidays and important events and birthdays' anniversaries
we Travel through dimly lit tunnels kind of anesthetized like in the cold winter or hot summer

    This is how time affects our memory. Yet there is no memory of now without a memorable event. Without the events, we do not sense the time. And events as you depicted nicely, exist only in our minds.
    So the conclusion would be nothing but: What is the evidence for time? Events or Memory?
