swallowed bubblegum

I swallowed the bubblegum.
We know it's bad luck right?

But how come my bad luck
has been happening before I swallowed
the dreadful piece.

They say it stays in your
body for 7 years, but this has been
happening for almost 9 years now.

When did I swallow it?
Most of all, why this kind
of bad luck.

It's all the same.
"I'll be here forever."
"We're getting married when we're 20"
"We're having 3 kids"

Can't you just love more one more time?

They say its hand in hand.
Heart to heart.

But it isn't.
When will these sentences
finally apply to somebody rather than
the perfect man in my mind
my conscience has made.

I will forever ask myself why you left,
for I was only temporary.
