Your words sting my heart
and imprint into my mind.
Never leaving.

Whether drunk or sober
they still pierce through me
like a knife.

You never cared about how I felt
and how your words would affect me.

You only ever cared about yourself
and the money you had to buy yourself
more beers and drink until unconscious
for your own pleasure.

Then lie to the man you married
and tell him you're sober.
Then throw punches at each other.

Then at me.

I lied for you so you wouldn't
hurt me.

"papa shes sober!"
No, she wasn't.

And now that I'm gone you
started doing what you would do
to me to your husband, and his old,
crippled mother.

You, Grandmother, are a monster.
