Judge and Jury

by MysteryMan   Feb 11, 2025

When you see a drunk stumbling in the street
Tell me exactly what do you see
Is it someone wasting their life away
Or a soul trying to escape their own reality

When you see a man with a drug addiction
As his words are slurred and his vision is blurred before you
Put aside your judgement
He’s only coping with what all he’s been through

When you see a woman bruised and broken
For I see a woman scared to be alone
So she hides her scarred face behind makeup
As if her pain too shall be gone

There is this girl who hides is this world
She only seeks peace from her past
But much like all good things
Some things never last

When you point a finger
Three more are aimed at you
So how can you judge a life
As if their pain you’ve been through
