Transparent

by Timothy   Feb 17, 2025

The young one always laughs,
You are stupid, a fool;
But as you age,
They do too.

Maybe not an even keel,
But fair enough;
And when your jokes aren't funny,
They start to bluff.

Are we so different, as time flows in?
And now daughter is parent;
And granddad is still there,
Being the most transparent.
