TYPICAL SATURDAY MORNING

by SillyKitty211   Mar 30, 2025

Typical Saturday morning

I walked out the front door

Took me a moment

Delivered box on the floor

Picked it up and I knew

What was packaged within

The URN your final resting place

Reality started sinking in

I had a little piece of Heaven

Right here on Earth

Heaven decided to reclaim you

Broken heart in world of hurt

Balloons flew high into the clouds

All fingers pointing to the sky

Notes of feelings tied with string

Can't bring myself to say goodbye

Look up and see your picture

Giant smile on your face

Many memories of your childhood

That will never be erased

Gone too soon and very young

So many tasks left undone

All the words that were not said

Lifetime of hopes never dreamt

If only we could get more time

You'd not get sick and didn't die

I know I'll see you someday soon

A promise whispered by the restless moon
