You

by Jackie Bilson   Jul 17, 2004

I know you're going through so much pain,
And I know I'll never understand
But you've managed to take all of our lives
And crush them in the palm of your hand.

The first was Anne, you twisted her words
And robbed her of her friends
You spread to the world that she had lied,
And tried to push her off the end.

And then came Shane, who tried to defend,
So you got him kicked out of school,
But he'll come back, mark my words
And you'll be proven the fool.

It was my turn next but I can't understand,
Exactly why you humiliated me.
You showed someone I cared about
Something I swore to secrecy.

Because of you, I'm back here,
Stuck again in the quicksand I had escaped.
Because of you, my private thoughts,
Have publicly been gaped.

Next on your list is my best friend,
Like me, she's done nothing to you.
Karen's loyal, sweet and caring
So I don't understand how this you could do.

You play it like you're not to blame,
That you are suffering yourself.
I'm not denying that you're in pain,
But clearly, you need help.

You may have tried to ruin my life,
But I know you're trying to end yours.
So many people still care about you,
But saving yourself can't be forced.

I hate you right now, that's the truth,
There's no point in telling a lie.
But I don't wish you any ill will,
And I don't want you to die.

It's not just you you're hurting,
It's all those who still care.
And after the way you've treated us,
Those people are pretty rare.

Lynne, you really owe us.
After everything you've put us through,
Just promise to get some help,
So we can start forgiving you.
