She's inside your Head

by Milo   Apr 15, 2025

It's been years
your hearse has rolled by
a thousand times.
I'm still in the same spot mourning you
and I don't know how to express what i feel
or how to say goodbye
but here I am trying.

I've gone down this road before
a thousand times,
trading emotional deaths
as we spiral and lash out at each other.
We hold on every ounce of our anger and sadness,
the silly laughter and loving moments
meeting eye to eye and for what?
As we come back around again
like a revolving door yelling and crying
as our world overspills until I
silently give up on you,
because you are not her.

I love you, but I can't be happy while one
is trying to save me and the other
wants me to drown.

People tell me to move on, to let go
and find someone else.
They say all these things
as her hearse inside my head
continues to roll on by.
