Abandoned

a 12 year old in darkness
a power made her "strange"
she was considered an outcast
they say she had no brain

when she was in this place
a depressed pet was she
she sulked around as a grey Lupe
for them to feel what they would see

they didn't know they'd been cruel
they thought it was just a game
but when they saw the truth
they never thought the same

a Lupe screamed in a stormy night
obviously in pain
but they thought it was common wolf
so they ignored it through the rain

but when they saw her the next morning
they never felt the same
for when they saw what happened
they actually felt shame

because those painful screams
belonged to the little girl
she was abandoned, dead now
never to return to the world
