We Glide

by Mandy   Jul 18, 2004

Race to the End
From the top we glide
Down the slope we slide
Hungrily clinging
Saltiness stinging

A race to reach the end
Round each and every bend
Physically draining
Emotionally paining

Hovering just slightly
Then falling so lightly
River path chilling
Emptiness filling

And then there'll be pain
And we'll surface again
Succumbing to fears
Appearance of tears
