I still love him(pantoum)

by Megha   Jul 19, 2004

I tried to write a pantoum....which is four stanzas with lines set up as follows:

1-2-3-4,
2-5-4-6,
5-7-6-8,
7-3-8-1.
One ends up where one began..

i still love him,
yes i do,
my hearts full till the brim,
full of love so true.

yes i do,
his thought still haunts me,
full of love so true,
oh,why cant i be set free?

his thought still haunts me,
it hurts so bad,
oh,why cant i be set free?
it makes me so sad.

it hurts so bad,
my hearts full till the brim,
it makes me so sad,
...i still love him.

this is my 1st ever attempt at a pantoum or any specific kind of poetry for that matter...all my other poems are free verse...i hope I've done justice....please vote and comment..it'll help...

  • Megha!,,,,, Your work is so good. You did the pantoum so good. IT didn't look forced and you kept the rules. I feel so happy, to see you did it so well and so fast. You are greatly talented. Keep up the good work. I will wait to see your next work. IF you want i can sent you some formats... I am sure you will do very good. Once more i wanted to say your poem is great! no doubt.
