Prince Charming

by Lushed   Jul 19, 2004

I write to you as a plea.
I'm begging, I'm bleeding,
I need you to save me.
Screaming, Drowning, Falling.
The walls begin to shake.
Onto the thought that you might see, I hold, I cling.

How can you be so blind?
It's right in front of your face!
Only you don't see that I'm losing my mind.
I want out of this rat race.
My eyes are wet, My throat is tight,
But all you do is ignore me.
Ashamed, I hide, My lip, I bite.
Prince Charming, where might you be?

There is no Knight in Shining Armor,
I am on my own,
I can stand, I'll save myself.
And I'll do it all alone.
