Thank You

That day you found me alone in the bathroom was the day it was going to end.
I thought I had no one, not one friend.
You saw me standing in front of the mirror knife in hand,
Ready to slice every gland.
You quickly walked away.
Just another reason to end this I say.
But you came back, and you had a knife too.
I didn’t know what you were going to do.
You didn’t say a word, not a single thing to me.
I had to do this, couldn’t you see?
I put the knife up to my wrist and you did the same.
What is he doing, am I to blame?
I don’t want you to hurt yourself I said with a frown,
You’re the only person I care about in this whole town.
You said whatever you do, I’ll do it too
Because I really love you.
So I put down the knife and didn’t do a thing.
I just want to say thank you for not letting me do that, and let you know of all the happiness you bring.
