Dreamin

by jack   Jul 20, 2004

I dreamed of you again last night in a dream that was so real.
I talked with you and laughed with you and told you how I did feel

We stood alone under the moon held in a loving embrace.
I was mesmerized and hypnotized by your beautiful face.

I looked into those eyes of blue and baby, what did I see?
Those beautiful eyes, that wonderful smile, staring back at me.

We held each other, lost to time, standing as though we were one
Bodies connected, gently swaying, under the midnight sun.

I nibbled your ear and kissed your neck and knew just what to do.
Quietly, for your ears alone, I said, “Baby, I love you.”

We didn’t know just where we were, and we didn’t seem to care.
The only thing that mattered to us was that we both were there.

When I awoke, I realized that you just weren’t still here.
This dream, like others, fond memory that I’ll always hold dear.

And dream of you I do, almost every night I must say.
For I have never loved anyone, not ever in this way.

  • Sweet poem... I too dream a lot like that.. The rhymes were nice... The flow was good. Yeah as Ann said..it is a bit clumsy... It will be more pleasing to read if you make it four lined.

Another great one with a really nice rhythm... it was kind os sing-songy! :o) I really enjoyed reading it.

I think I would cut each line in half, though...so each stanza is four lines rather than two... that will avoid the spill over on some of the lines.

Can't wait to see more from you!
