Thank you Daddy

by Mandy   Jul 20, 2004

My daddy raised me to be who i am today
There are so many thank yous i need to say..

Thank you for being there when i needed you most
Thank you for all those mornings you made me toast

Thank you for each time told you me no
Thank you for making me not a hoe

Thank you for making me smile when I was sad
Thank you for all those times you made me mad

Thank you for never giving up on me
My daddy raised his little girl all by himself, ya see

Thank you for loving me no matter what
Thank you for looking at every cut

Now that I'm getting older I know just how important you are
Just remember Daddy..I'll never be too far!

wonderful poem< i have 4 daughters of my own, and I could see myself doing just those very things, daddy's have their own ways to showhow much they love their children, some don't know how to say it though, but the love is still their, just let someone hurt a man's little girl and you will see how fast he is to protect, you have such nice ways to show your respect, love and thanks to your daddy. keep on writing. Very nice poem... but i think you made an error where it says"Thank you for each time told you told me no". i think that first 'told' needs to be taken out. Other than that it was great
