For Sonja (Part 56)

by ntv650   Jul 20, 2004

When I find myself longing for this lady,
I look for her in pitch black darkness,
Only to find that she is standing right in front of me.

And in my ears she whispers, cruel words of wisdom.
She can't stand the pain, it's too hard for her too.
So I take a deep breath and tell her she's wrong

There is so much more for us here than what we have
Much more than these pale clouds and desperate cries
Let me kiss you in the rain and take away those cold starless nights.

When I have eventually run out of memories to dream of you
I will sit down and not move until I remember them once more
Dwelling in those few precious times when you were still mine.

So when I am lying on the floor crushed, conquered in pain.
Touch me with those angel hands and make me stand up
Promise me you won't forget, kiss me, now kiss me again
