HoW cAn ThIs Be??¿¿

Ok i got this from a show...

Mr.Smith and his son Arthur went for a drive. They met into a car accident...Mr.Smith was killed instantly, and Arthur was rushed to a hospital. When he got to the hospital, the old sergent said "I cant operate on him he's my son." How can this be?

ha at forst i was like wow how can this be...lol...well comment on it and guess the answer...its kinda easy if you really think about it...
