Visions of Paradise

by Steve   Jul 21, 2004

The clock is blinking Seven-thirty
Can barely see the sunrise for the trees
Over Coffee and after Breakfast
An Urban wasteland to you is Perfect

Broken Phrases Try to Describe
The very thing you are trying to hide
A place, a time, another Lie
So this is Paradise?

The smell of salt hangs in the air
Lost desolation without despair
The roots of life? It seems so unfair.
No Time to waste and Yet we've time to spare

Broken Phrases Try to Describe
The very thing you are trying to hide
A place, a time, another Lie
So this is Paradise?

The moments slip away unnoticed
As the future comes to focus
A child's dream a hit or miss
Words forgotten with a goodbye kiss

Broken Phrases Try to Describe
The very thing you are trying to hide
A place, a time, another Lie
So this is Paradise?

Very good. Sounds like it would be good lyrics for a song.
